As a rule lead battery as power source.

Benefits:

• No exhaust fumes

• low noise level

• low operating and maintenance costs

Drawbacks:

• restrictions on distance driven and operating time

• poorer hill-climbing ability

Transmission:

• from electric motor via the differential to the drive wheels.

• If the truck has two drive motors, they are each connected to their own drive wheel through reduction gears.
